Daniel Groves

Trial Lawyer

Mr. Groves graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 2005 with a degree in Philosophy/Pre-Law and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor’s Society, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Program and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2009. His areas of legal concentration are in litigation, personal injury, family law, criminal prosecution/defense, commercial insurance defense and commercial breach of contract. Prior to obtaining his degrees, Daniel served in the United State Marine Corps and was awarded an Honorable Discharge.
Before going into civil law practice, Daniel spent nearly two years with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office in the juvenile justice division, elderly abuse AND embezzlement unit and the arson unit. Since then, he has worked in personal injury (both as Plaintiff and Defense counsel) and Michigan No-Fault Law for six years. Believing that our future’s most important asset is our children, Daniel volunteered for the Wayne County Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA) for displaced kids, foster children, AND abused and neglected children. He has been a Red Cross blood donor for four decades.
When it comes to the law, Daniel is an aggressive litigator, but is also very personable, open, communicative and has a lively sense of humor. He attributes his sense of humor to growing up in a home with nine siblings!  He is happily married to fellow attorney Moira Ogedegbe-Groves as they continue to raise their children.  When not representing his clients at the Lobb Law Firm, he enjoys time with his children, watching and attending football games and is a chess aficionado who is always welcoming of a new challenger.
Mr. Groves is licensed in the Federal Eastern District Court for Michigan.
